Hockey

Hockey requires high levels of fitness, strength and movement control. Trunk and pelvic control are key elements of optimal physical performance in hockey with injuries most commonly occurring in the lower back, hamstring and groin. Ankle sprains, wrist pain and any running related issues are other common hockey related injuries.

We work with hockey players to rehab current injuries, prevent future injuries and improve on field physical performance. Having been involved with recreational and high-level hockey over a long period of time, we have a strong understanding of the game, the unique physical demands of individual skills such as dragflicking and the specific rehab required to return to playing hockey.

We use a combination of hands-on treatment, exercise programming, training/competition load management and return to sport testing to make sure hockey players are performing at their best.
